Take Part

I developed our Good Life Workshops in 2016 for children aged 7 to 11 as an after school club.

Based around the growing of food and self sufficiency; the sessions opened my eyes to the fact that, me that, many of the children I taught, genuinely didn't know where food came from or that they could grow it themselves.

Over the last 5 years, the workshops have evolved and now include animal care, mindfulness and well-being. I would like to also think that I have bridged that gap and many of those children now, not only know where food comes from but, how to sow the seeds and grow it too

Children that take part will not only learn where food comes from (plant and animal based) & the importance of the natural world around us; they will also learn how to grow food or take care of those animals. On top of that, we encourage kids to be kids and get them doing things that they generally cant do in everyday life, build dens, jump in puddles, paddle in streams and get very muddy (every kids favourite activity!)....

Basically, all the things that kids LOVE to do!

  • The Workshops are open to children aged 7-11 (years 3-6)

  • Group sessions will take part on set days during term time breaks

  • All Children be encouraged to do a mixture of activities: working with animals, hiking, den building, cooking, arts and crafts and much more

  • Sessions will take place regardless of the weather

  • Children who are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, should NOT attend a session and should seek to follow government guidelines for testing and isolation.

  • To comply with track and trace, it may be necessary to supply details of your child to governing bodies should they require it.

  • Due to the nature of our business, hand sanitiser will be available and foot dips are in place to prevent the spread of disease

  • If there is an error on our part and the session has to be cancelled, session fees will be returned, otherwise, all Fees are non-refundable
