Time & Location

The Good Life Projects, Rock farm, Windsor Hill Ln, Shepton Mallet BA4 4JE, UK
About the Event
A very good friend of ours, started cycling when his mental health and physical health took a turn early in 2023. This made him decide he wants to start cycling again. To get him back into the swing of things, he joined a 'cycle to work' scheme and, firmly saddled on his new e-bike, he started cycling each day from Shepton Mallet to Blagdon (where he works).
This began his love of cycling and so wanted to start an e-cycling group in the hopes of meeting more people who want to enjoy and explore the Mendips. whilst getting fit(ter) and socialising.
Cycling most of the mendips and even as far as Burnham on Sea, he wants to see if there are more people out there who would like to do the same.
Please make a note of the following points:
-The group will be meeting every 3rd Saturday of the month and there will be 3 circuits planned which will (roughly be) 20, 40 & 50 km circuits. You will have the option of joining Kenny on his 'route of the month' or one of the other ones set.
Click to see the route for each of the circuits: 20km 44km 47km
-The meets are all circuits starting and ending at Rock Farm and are planned to leave at 9:30/10:00am. There is no pressure to stick together on you chosen circuit but the idea is to socialise and discuss the routes with your groups and offer feedback after each meet.
-The meets are open to people from 15/16 upwards, however, those 16 and under need a parent or guardian present for safeguarding and those under 18 need a health and safety agreement signed by a parent or guardian*
-The meets are free to join but, if you feel you are able, we will wecome any donations to the farm as these support the work we do with kids and adults with additional needs.
-TGLP will be opening the Coffee Shop especially on these dates and will be offering 20% off hot drinks and cakes to anyone in these groups.
-You will need the 'Komoot' app so that Kenny can share the route with you on the day.
*whilst under 18's can (and are encouraged to) join us: neither we, nor the organisers take any responsibilty in their care and their parents/guardians will be asked to sign a disclaimer before any meets.
